A fiction

There is no company called Sunder Labs and no headphone called Model 01. The brand, the product, the serial numbers and the launch are invented, and exist to give the design something to be about.

Nothing here is for sale. The pre-order button does nothing and takes no payment, and no product will be made or delivered.

The specifications and prices

Every figure on this site is written to look right, not measured. The frequency range, the 54 mm drivers, the crosstalk and sensitivity figures in decibels, the machining tolerances, the gloss units and the finishes are invented for a product that does not exist, and none of them is a measurement of anything. The chapter headed measured is a piece of the design, not a test report.

The curves and meters illustrate ideas about how headphones work. They are drawings, not test results, and not engineering advice.

The headphone you are looking at

The 3D headphone on this site is someone else's work, used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence, and modified for this site: rescaled, re-lit, remade in the site's own materials and re-finished in its colours.

The model is a generic retro headphone, not a copy of any particular product. Any resemblance to a real headphone is incidental, no manufacturer is involved with this site or has endorsed it, and all trade marks belong to their owners.

The design, writing, animation and code are the work of the person who built the showcase, except for the material credited here. You are welcome to view the source and learn from it. Please do not republish it as your own.

Using the site

Look at it, share it, take it apart. Please do not present it as a real product or a real company, and please do not try to break, overload or misuse the site or the service hosting it.

No guarantees

The site is provided as it is. It needs a reasonably modern browser with hardware 3D graphics, it may change or go offline at any time, and the person who made it is not responsible for any loss arising from using it or relying on anything written on it.

Changes

These terms may be updated as the showcase changes. The date at the top says when they last were.
